High technology today is the illustration of scientific work in the past. Science is a way of life, organized collection of knowledge and its methodical application incessant experimentation, failure of a hypothesis and then reconstruction of a theory with new hypothesis. This is an analogy of science with life. Through science club activities in school, children develop problem solving skills and psychometric skills. Science is a vast subject even a progressive and pseudo all inclusive syllabus fails to cater to the needs of a science educator. Science club activities stimulate group participation and mobilize interest in learning science. Learning of science becomes joyful. Science club activities inculcate scientific attitude and scientific method among students. Science club at SCS organizes science exhibitions, science Olympiads and inter & intra-class science quizzes to develop habits of exploration and healthy competition. Students prepare working models and participate in zonal and higher level science fairs. Such activities encourage active participation and initiative among students. Students are acquainted with latest scientific advances and the gifted students get challenging opportunities. Kitchen garden, biodegradable pit developed and managed by science club speak of students acumen in science. Eco club and its activities supplement science club activities. Birthday celebrations of great scientists, declamations, speeches, role plays on environment awareness and needs of conservation etc are major activities organized by science club at SCS.
