Baisakhi is the harvest festival of Punjab. This day marks the birth of Khalsa i.e. purity, purity in thought, belief and action. People wish each other with bounty of the season and harvest of joy and prosperity. Students need to be rooted close to their native culture. They need to respect hard work of a peasant who grows and mature with his crops. A child needs to learn and adore quality of being meticulous, methodical and perseverant like a peasant. In order to instil all subtle values all festivals of the country are celebrated with rare enthusiasm and zest. Students dress up in the traditional attire of Punjabi culture. They present folk dances like bhangra, gidha, folk songs. A fair scene is created in the morning assembly. For these celebrations and vivid presentation of native culture in its original flavour morning assemblies at SCS hold special importance.
